Prisoners of Pride is the second installment of Ami Blackwelder's Guardian of the Gate saga. Ami took the first person perspective of Michael Cole, letting the reader see his world and the struggle he has with his love, Evelyn. Weaving the reader through her imagination, Ami takes you into the world of Emeralusia. A world filled with elfin magic and beauty, which is slowly being overcome by war that is ravaging the land. Will Michael survive in this world so unlike his own. You must get this novel and find out. My only question is will there be a third book in the series? I for one certainly hope so.
